I define myself

No one says it better than Jessica Simpson in her song, "I Belong to Me". I am my very own person, defined by who I am, who I was before I met you, and who I will be for the rest of my life. Who I am is not about who I am when I am in public or who you want me to be, but it is who I am when I am with my closest friends. I cannot change who I am for a person, and even if I could, I would not, and could not, really. When I look into myself, no matter who I am with or what kind of airs I am putting on, I cannot change myself because it is so much deeper than that.

I want to be loved for who I am and who I can be, not for who you want me to be to who you think I can be. I want to define myself; I do not want to let someone else tell me who I am. Let me be who I am and help me to be all IO can be, but don't take away my identity. If you truly love someone than you accept who they are and you want them to be true to themselves. Love don't mean changing who you are to be who somebody wants you to be. Nobody's got to belong to nobody I belong to me, I don't belong to you, my heart is my possession, I'll be my own reflection.
